Peppermint Bark

Place cany canes in a plastic bag and hammer into 1/4 inch chuncks.

Melt the chocolate in a double boiler. Combine the candy with the chocolate (add peppermint flavorings at this time if desired).

Pour mixture onto a cookie shet with parchment or waxed paper. Place in refrigerator for 45 minutes or until firm.

Remove from cookie sheet and break into pieces like peanut brittle.
