Signature Dish Signature Dish Italian Clove cookies

Warm milk and add 1/2 cup sugar and 1/4 cup crisco, mix well until crisco is broken into smaller pieces (it will not melt).

Sift flour, baking powder, 1/2 cup sugar and cloves together. Add 1/4 cup Crisco and using a pastry tool, cut crisco until smooth.

Beat eggs and add to flour mixture along with milk mixture. Work until well mixed.

Roll dough into 1 inch balls and place on parchment sheet.

Bake at 450 degrees until lightly brown and allow to cool completely on wire rack before icing.

Mix all ingredients together with whisk and add more milk until consistency is reached. Not too thin, but not too thick.
